We raft some of the best stretches of whitewater in the Colorado. The CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER is Colorados only Nationally designated WILD and SCENIC River and offers all classes of whitewater, from mild to wild. From its headwaters high in Rocky Mt. National Park, the clear waters of the Poudre rush through beautiful forested canyons that are over 2500 feet deep during its tumultuous journey to the Great Plains. The Poudre is unique in that it offers some of the best Rafting and Kayaking in the state and does so in an uncrowded setting due to restrictions associated with its National Wild and Scenic status. It is also one of the warmest canyons in the state due to its west to east flow (allowing for an abundance of sunshine in the canyon) and its relative low altitude.
Our expertise also extends to Rivers such as the Arkansas River, which is home to stretches such as Browns Canyon, with its majestic snow covered peaks, and the wild ride and sheer walls of the Royal Gorge, along with the stretch known as the Grand Canyon of the Arkansas. The North Platte River offers outstanding wilderness (it runs through a designated wilderness area) combined with demanding rapids, high mountain scenery, and wildlife viewing, for a superb 1 or 2 day trip. The Dolores River offers spectacular Canyonlands scenery and rapids such as the renowned Snaggletooth for an unforgettable multi day trip, and the mighty Colorado River with its mild water on the Upper Colorado stretch and the dark foreboding depths and Class V whitewater of its Gore Canyon stretch. Gore Canyon is considered the most demanding stretch of whitewater on the entire Colorado River.
