Cherokee Adventures, established in 1979, is proud to serve outdoor enthusiasts just like you! Our goal, here at Cherokee Adventures, is to provide you with the best overall experience possible. Over the past 26 years we have perfected ways to serve you like no other! Our home base is centrally located in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee just outside of Erwin where many area attractions are within driving distance.
Our specialty is the scenic Nolichucky River. The Nolichucky, winding through both North Carolina and Tennessee, offers a variety of whitewater rapids that cut their way through a beautiful 3000' gorge.
For Tennessee whitewater rafting we offer the Lower Nolichucky, Watauga, and Holston Rivers. For North Carolina whitewater rafting we offer the Nolichucky River and trips on the French Broad.
We don't just do whitewater rafting trips: we also offer riverside camping, mountain-biking tours, ropes courses, family fun, overnight getaways, and more! And with our convenient location -Smoky Mountain National Forest, Asheville NC, Abingdon VA, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Grandfather Mountain all within a two hour drive - you won't be left wanting more!
